Marinsound Company organized a Marinfest Festival that took place on January 19-21 at the DKJD concert hall. This was a first festival of a similar scale ever held in the South region of Russia. More than 63 bands of various music styles participated in the festival. Marinsound provided a complete music equipment support for this event, and took care of all organizational issues. We installed a powerful sound set from Turbosound around 70 kW in total including backline.

Participation in the festival was absolutely free of charge. Everyone was eligible to perform regardless of the musical style (and this fact is also indicating a uniqueness of the festival).

The mass media was invited to highlight the event on radio and television.

The preliminary stage was held on January 19-20. The jury was supposed to choose several winners to perform at the Gala-Concert that took place on January 21. Taking into consideration the diversity of music genres presented, the festival organizers came up with a decision to split the bands according to stylistics characteristics. Thus, the first day of the festival was primarily consisted of alternative rock music, whereas the second day included bands playing black and power metal.

It is also important to notice, that the jury involved not only renowned musicians but also mass media representatives, what is pointing in favor of the objectivity of the festival even more.

The performances and master classes of notable Russian rock musicians, Dmitry Chetvergov and Sergey Efimov with “Hippy Chaos” band, concluded the festival.
